A short history of HOPI.

The magic of fire has fascinated people from the very beginning of time and control of this element gave comfort and warmth.

Ear candles evoke a similar fascination. This ancient and Natural therapy has been handed down to us through the mists of time by many civilisations.

THE HOPI TRIBE - A PEOPLE OF PEACE - THE OLDEST PUEBLO TRIBE.

Hopi means peaceful people, people of peace. For many centuries the Hopi people have lived in harmony with nature and the original universal laws passed down to them. Their responsible treatment of mother Earth, their cultural standards, universal spirituality and pronounced knowledge of healing still underline the elevated status of this peaceful people. The Hopi people are rapidly gaining respect for this extensive knowledge and great spirituality. It is this special knowledge of the Hopi people which brought the use of ear candles to Europe, and increasing numbers of people are now enjoying and benefiting from this age-old ceremony.

The ear candles were used traditionally to cleanse and harmonise the different energy fields of the individual aura, to drive out negative energies and prepare for a state of trance.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

From a physical function. Slight under pressure (the chimney effect) inside the ear candle and a vibration of the rising air column through the natural movement of the flame serve to gently massage the eardrum. This has an immediate subjunctive effect of regulating the pressure system. Whilst the candle is burning the pleasant heat sensation is intensified. This heat stimulates the peripheral blood circulation and strengthens the cleansing circulation of the lymph glands. It also stimulates energy points and reflex zones.

This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for earache, headaches, migraine, sinusitis, rhinitis, noises and ringing in the ears and is relaxing and calming for stress symptoms.

The physical effect is often described as a soothing, pressure and pain relieving sensation mainly in the ear and head area. It can also cause freer nasal breathing and an improved sense of smell. It is a completely painless and pleasant treatment which brings about wonderful relaxation and a deep sense of security.

HOW ARE THE CANDLES MADE?

BIOSUN Candles are still made today on the basis of an old original recipe. They are made by hand using natural ingredients - Honey, Pure Beeswax, crushed traditional Indian medicinal herbs mainly Sage and Camomile and St John's Wort. And a pesticide free woven cotton.
