My name is Linda Stokes and I am a fully qualified teacher and practitioner of
many Complementary Therapies and principal of Alda House School of Natural Therapies.
Since the beginning of 1990, I have worked earnestly with Susan Maunsell to have Hopi Ear Candles recognised as a therapy. Our aim was to gain recognition of this therapy for insurance coverage.
We worked together to compile a training program to a standard high enough to meet the stringent criteria of the insurers, underwriters
and accredited organisations.
We were invited to give this therapy a name, 'Thermo-Auricular Therapy'.
Not only are we the originators of the term 'Thermo-Auricular Therapy', we also have exclusive rights to the training manuals registered to Susan Maunsell and myself. Since the Guild Of Complementary Practitioners (GCP) first offered insurance cover, many other insurance bodies have contacted us for details of our training program.
We are pleased to say that all the major insurance companies and associations now recognise our training course. We teach the courses through
Training Schools, Colleges, Adult Education and private venues throughout the country.
